Seriously Good Stalker Movie

Well, I watched the STIFF showing of "For Love & Stacie" last night at the Rendezvous, and wow! It's a great story about a guy whose girlfriend 'needs some time apart'. We are introduced to the guy, a flimmaker, who decides to make a movie about Stacie and their relationship in an attempt to win her back. The guy is kind of goofy and although he has not lost hope, as a viewer it is pretty obvious the situation is hopeless. I know this really doesn't sound all that interesting, but it is very well done and if you have ever been dumped, you will surely empathize with the filmmaker. However things turn pretty dark, and then they get much darker. Maybe I really don't empathize with the filmmaker?
